It can often help to talk to someone who is outside your immediate environment, someone who can be objective and help you to make sense of how you are feeling.
I have over twenty years experience of working as a counsellor, seeing people with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, bereavement, eating disorders, stress, relationship difficulties, employment issues and life-crises. I have a gentle and empathic approach which I use to help my clients explore the difficult issues in their lives and work towards practical solutions.
I work with individual clients and couples of all ages on a short or long-term basis.
My aim in working as a counsellor is to help people understand themselves and their feelings. I offer the opportunity to explore thoughts and feelings in a non-judgemental way.
I do not give advice but rather try to help people make their own decisions about how they are going to live their lives.
