About Counselling Issues

Sometimes life can become challenging and difficult and you need help unravelling your problems and making sense of things. You may have friends and family but no-one with whom you can truly confide your innermost thoughts.

It can often help to talk to someone who is outside your immediate environment, someone who can be objective and help you to make sense of how you are feeling.

I have over thirty years experience of working as a counsellor, seeing people with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, bereavement, eating disorders, stress, relationship difficulties, employment issues and life-crises. I have a gentle and empathic approach which I use to help my clients explore the difficult issues in their lives and work towards practical solutions.

I work with individual clients and couples of all ages on a short or long-term basis.

My aim in working as a counsellor is to help people understand themselves and their feelings. I offer the opportunity to explore thoughts and feelings in a non-judgemental way.

I do not give advice but rather try to help people make their own decisions about how they are going to live their lives.
